Apparently he's looking for a shot of the analog radio option.
They look pretty similar but the preset buttons are bigger...

I have a drawing of it from the service manual, but no photo. I would imagine it's a pretty rare option in 82. Mine has the digital radio with clock. What exactly are you looking to see?

switching the full fan load may be fine, but the contacts will pit and wear out faster.
switching a low current load (a relay)...

When the 82 (non-ce) was new, mom and I drove from El Paso to San Diego and back (visiting my grandma) and averaged just over 25 mpg @ 65-70mph. ISTR she averaged around 18 in town.

If you really want to do something like that the safe & smart way would be to find the fan relay and find the wire that controls it. Probably a temp sensor that completes ground, so you can shunt it...

Wow! I wonder how much dead weight they will lift? Seems like 3/8" thick sheet of ice would present quite a load! Maybe that's how you can test the actuator side. Clamp the supply line and put 20lbs...

I have the 82 that my mom bought two months before my 17th birthday. Used to wash the car all the time, learned to drive and got my license in it. Mom gave it to me around 97 after it left us...

I agree with Roger, shorting the two circuits would do that. Maybe the wrong (single filament) bulbs are installed in the rear, or maybe the wiring is shorted somewhere.

I'd suggest putting a scanner on it. look for codes and/or see what all the sensors read. Sounds like it could be any number of things. Vac leak to the MAP sensor, electrical problem, who knows.
