I agree with you 100%. They look 'stick-on' and cheap. Hey, the O.P. asked for opinions. Everyone has one. We don't all have to agree and that is fine. I would never do that to my car.

I just verified and 'Passive Door Unlock' = BOTH and 'Auto Unlock'=BOTH. Still have to press Unlock to get out.

I think this started happening after I took my car in to have the climate control...

Automatic unlock from inside...

My 2013 GS now requires me to press the 'Unlock' button before I can open the door from inside. I used to be able to just press the door button to get out.

Apparently the NAV doesn't think there is a disk in there.

I would eject the disk, then clean the bottom of it with a clean, soft cloth and water or Windex. Then give it another try.
