I didn't see the third screw - though it would pop off and ended up breaking it. I don't need the light or door lock switch.

Drivers side (in my defence, passenger side only had 2 screws).

Interesting. I'll put a vacuum on in while idling to see if it opens.
The light does go out on it's own. It mostly happens at lower RPM steady speed highway cruising.

I don't think the EGR is the issue. You can plug the vacuum to it so it does not open. Is this only under load or just sitting and trying to rev?
