The springs that are on the ZZ4 heads are the same springs that come with the HOTCAM kit, that includes the 1.6 roller rockers. Stock ZZ4 comes with 1.5 steel stamped rockers.

I like the demon. Very responsive, and didnt take much to get it tuned.
Once we got the HEI dialed in, carb was a welcome addition.

ZZ4 Cylinder Head upgrade (best choice?)

I would like to upgrade my cylinder heads on the ZZ4. I am looking at either AFR or the GMPP Fastburn heads.
I have the LT4 Hotcam with 1.6 roller rockers, Demon 650 carb.

I installed a ZZ4 in my 79, and my ride height is higher now. Fender lip=29 inches. Have bought new 460 springs, will cut 1 coil off to try to get the nose down a tad.

Once you cut the coil spring (dropping nose of 79), I have read different things to do to spring to make it fit. Read were you need to heat the end coil (dead coil) so it sags a bit, then grind it...
