That's a USB "Standard A" cable and it probably connects to your Alpine head unit. Those didn't exist circa 1994. I bet it is there for MP3 player connectivity to the head unit.

I changed out the PCV valve yesterday and decided to take the 93 ZF6 out for a quick drive. The car was running perfectly fine so at one point I decided to give it a stomp on a short stretch of road....
