They've done some insane high HP drag racing builds, they did a badass Typhoon? that ran competitively in X275. Still with a V6.... In the 4's in the 1/8th.

For what its worth, we run Cup and Nationwide cars on straight water, usually ~230-240 operating water temp in the race with no negative effects...
