To close this out...I took the car to a shop back in the late winter. The pulled the OD out and needed to replace some parts. S&k Speed came through with the parts. The car drives down the highway...

I have put the car back together with no change in the 0/D status. I now have the car to a shop in nearby Decatur, IN. They have advised that the overdrive solenoid is definitely not doing anything....
