Looks are subjective and OC does reduce marring, but it's not a replacement for proper washing. My car is still marr free at the 20 month mark now and still looks like new...pretty easy sale actually...

On top of what Jeff has already pointed out you need to keep in mind that claying the paint may instill very fine marring too, and a light polishing afterward is recommended.
