Re: Which is better, Blackwing, Vortec, or MTI's C5 Ram air induction setups? (EVIL)

MTI's large flat panel filter layout with cold air access will outperform all of the other setups listed IMO. Not as easy to install as the Blackwing tho.

Re: (TX) 3 Moving Violations in 3 years....add $100.00 / Sept. 1 (Joe Diver)

Jeeesh...so typical of our legislative policies these days. Instead of better eductating/training all drivers before they are allowed a licence they just decide to up the penalties. :mad

Re: Clutch/Throw out/Transmission?? (Mark 84ltblu)

I would pull the Hurst out and inspect it and the shift shaft as well as inspect/replace the fluid. These two things are your only diagnose options without pulling the trans. out of the car.

Re: Nitrous experiences (jackmott)

Hey Jack,

I had a custom dry 100 shot(all NOS brand parts) on my car for a couple years. Sprayed countless bottles(at least 50) through her with no problems except for burning off a plug electrode...

Re: Yet another victim of broken FLP's (jmX)

That might be worth a try but judging from the distance between the remaining hard-mounts -heads and rear of mid-pipe- you might have to deal with random leaks from the mid-pipe flanges. Maybe...

Re: Yet another victim of broken FLP's (jmX)

FLP started gusseting the brackets because of this problem. There is a thread about a recent install and you can see the difference from the pics.

I have a very early set as well and had the same...

Re: Mod-Neutral? '99 FRC, if I remove... (Matt Black)

Beneficial...especially if you have an open air box setup, ie. Donaldson. It will feed cool air into the filter area as prescribed by GM for the Z06.

Re: it won't shift! (ADMIRAL JOE)

Re-bleeding the system is the only option you have for now. If that doesn't fix it then get a McLeod or AP adj master cylinder so you can get the clutch to function correctly.

Hope this helps

Re: it won't shift! (pwtr frc)

Your symptoms lead me to believe that your clutch is not disengaging quickly and/or enough. I would do a check of the enitre clutch system. How does the pedal feel? Is it bled properly? Do you have...

Re: got vararam today how long to install (rbartick)

Well, it really depends on what you have now. If you're stock then you'll definitely notice a SOTP improvement up top where the stock box can't supply the engine adequately.

Nice directions btw,...

Re: got vararam today how long to install (kromberg)

Yeah, you should plan for atleast 3 hours since it's your first time and you'll be doing it by yourself. The trickiest part of it when working alone is dealing with the V-strip. You should bolt it...
