Mine went at 80K and I took it as a signal to replace the belts and hoses at the same time. It also gave me the excuse to get the radiator out and back flush out 6 years of bug bodies.

I love this car.

Just turned 100,000 miles today on the red 2000 convertible! I love this car. The car was a museum delivery by Adam Boca on May 15th eight years and 5 months ago.

The only required repair was a...

My solution works well. I added the PAC AOEM-VET1 to the HU which provides input to your after market AMP. I used a 4 channel amp. I took the HU inputs for the rear speakers to the amp and powered...

Audio input to the head unit.

On both of my C5s I use the Peripheral’s AUX2CAR unit with the PXHGM4 adapter cable. The module fits nicely in the space directly behind the head unit. The module cables out RCA inputs and I...

Oil on the back?

I hate to be the one to say no that is not correct. I have both a vert and a z06 which are driven (91K on the vert and 30K on the z06) and there is no oil on the rear. Dust and road crap yes, but...

iPhone to AUX2CAR

The iPhone has a 4 wire head phone jack instead of the normal three wire. Also, the iPhone headset plug body has to be about 0.235 inch diameter (any larger and the plug won't seat into the iPhone)....

Faq

Go to the sticky at the top of the page and read the FAQ table of contents... you will be able to read any codes set. Then post them and you will probably get plenty of input.

An Opinion!

Okay, another viewpoint. For a daily driver I would go with the 00 if it has the Z51 option and a 6 speed. I have the Y2k red roadster with 90K miles and it is still a very strong car (just put...

Use the airconditioning switch

I looked into this and drew up a schematic with two relays. The issue is the fans are controlled by one of the modules and you will set codes (and possibly damage the controller) if you just wire...

Okay, I'm ready, the car is ready, but time is dragging. About 3 1/2 weeks until I can get on the way. Planning a 6,000+ mile round trip.

Yes- There is a reverse lock-out on manual 6 speeds.

However, on some cars it is intermitten for some reason. On my Y2K vert it always works. While on the '03 Z06 it usually works but sometimes the gate is open and it requires extra care to get into...

You can help yourself!

Having a 2000 roadster, I speak from personal experience. The car acts as a vacuum cleaner sucking all the road gunk up into the air conditioning heat exchanger which reduces the air flow through...

27k+

I have 27K plus on the Z06. 82K + on the Y2K red roadster and I put 60K on the '92 before I sold it. That's 170,000 Corvette smiles in about 10 years.
