Mine squeaks a bit. I've always just thought it was the steering wheel backshell rubbing on the column shroud and have ignored it. Now this steering sensor idea has me curious.

I'm curious. What corrective maintenance have you had to do on that car over the course of 165K+ miles? I have yet to see a GM car where the running gear survived even that long.
