Re: anyone know this Z06?? rollover fortworth Texas! (fdupny)

Nice to see in the rollover that the roof held reasonably well. On the airbag thing, it doesn't seem like any of the cars suffered a strong frontal impact (unless I missed a picture)--that may...

Re: Buying a 2001 this week. 1 question... (PowerMad)

I know that there's a TSB out on rings, but I've never heard about any recall. In other words, if your car is still under warranty, GM will pay for the re-ring (after the oil consumption test);...

Re: Your Experience with Kumho Ecsta-MX? (levettegrl)

Agreed, a decent tire for the money. Much deeper grooves and channels. Not as good in the dry, in my view, but a good all around tire.

Re: Those with Brey Kraus clip-in belt mounts... How? (Z06_Bob)

I agree about the Dremel--that's what I used--just a little bit at a time.

Re: Those with Brey Kraus clip-in belt mounts... How? (Cobra4B)

Brian,

I'm surprised they didn't give you the instructions that came with the set-up when I bought it. I could try to fax those to you if you want--don't know whether they'll come across very...

Re: Oil Temp really HIGH! (BadMedcn)

Also, there's no way the "real" oil temperature could go from 400 to 200 in a matter of seconds. Definitely the sensor or software.

Re: Which Brake Pads For The Track? (MrEracer)

I'm using KFP Magnum pads, and like them a lot. However, I don't have enough experience with other brands to offer a real comparison. When I bought the car it had some sort of Hawk pads, which bit...

Re: 04 Shocks (GTB/ZR-1)

I didn't notice that much of a difference as far as ride quality goes; however, there is an important difference even on the street, assuming you take some turns with gusto. The rear end on a Z06...

Re: StopForce Brakes!!!!! (Slammed Vette)

The performance is there, too. Very pleased so far. Big step up from the Eradispeeds (no cracks near holes).

Re: Meguiar's NXT - Perspective after use (VNAMVET)

Actually, guys, the Z6 works great on the waxes; it makes my P21S wax shinier, but I still get the depth I like from the wax. For that matter, the Zaino car wash still works great too. You gotta...

Re: What are the differences between an 04 and a 02 Z06? (KBlanke)

The shocks are definitely different, not sure if there's anything else.

Re: Documented Hydrolock Cases with Vararam V1b? (Bill Dearborn)

Everyone knows that it's the ratio of the sonic diffuser to flux capacitor output that makes the difference on hydrolocking.

Re: STOP FORCE Rotors (XmentalPilot)

I've had one track day so far with the Stop Force rotors, and they worked very well. Pads are KFP Magnum. Second track day is tomorrow. Left the "old" Eradispeeds on the rear for now.

Re: Changed my brake pads tonigiht... much easier than I tought. (Richin Chicago)

I apologize in advance--I have the mechanical ability of a sea snail. When you "compress the pistons," do you hold them in place compressed with a c clamp or something?

Thanks,

Faulty Knock Sensor Technical Service Bulletin Number?

I don't have the trouble code at hand, but a couple of weeks ago my '01 Z06 started throwing the code for the knock sensor; however, it evidently isn't signaling there's a knock, it's signaling that...
