I would start with safety,suspension, brakes, and handling. Put a good used or crate engine in it and invest in seat time. You will have more fun and lower lap times. Good luck and be safe!

Two NACA ducts direct feed into fan/cooler enclosure works for me. The fan is switched on the dash so I can turn it on after warm up lap.
