I've used a rubber vacuum cap to plug the swaged hard line end....I'll be one of these of the right size would fit over the threads on the caliper end. 7/16-20

Odd thing is its obviously the box since when cold I can see thats were the movement is lost. However going down the highway it feels fine.

Thanks. Did this and the choke is hard open at this point especially in warm weather. No possibility of going into a fast idle. I kind of wish it would fast idle for a bit.

Replaced the stat with a Stant Superstat 180F with a 1/8" hole drilled in the mounting plate of the thermostat. Problem solved, does not overshoot to 200F+ and really doesn't...

I have a 180F thermostat and as the car warms up the temp goes up to 210F on the gauge then drops back to roughly between the 155 and 210 mark on the temp...
