Hi, The Yellow is switched 12 Volts, the Gray is instrument lamps and Black is Ground. You'll need to do something like RedVette2 suggests for constant 12Volts as well.

I agree. The vacuum solenoid behind the tach does not need to be grounded. I have replaced one just like carriljc did and left the old one behind the tach. I zip tied the new one under the dash...
