Sorry. I did try with my friends battery and got the same results: Mechamn = voltage fluctuations, Duralast = voltage stable.

I did replace the belt with a new belt (since I was putting in the new 250 amp unit). All pulleys look good. Tensioner seems to be functioning fine.

This issue is really driving me nuts.
