Hopefully there is some explanation for this. On a hard pedal stop, the engine will stall coming up to a stop light with clutch in. On a medium pedal stop, the RPMs will drop but return to idle speed...

I did replace the PCV valve. The old one also rattled but I never did check the volume of air either before or after. I can see why it would screw things up if unmetered. Thanks.
