Re: {DFW} MSR - why no corvette clubs? (Umrswimr)

I just went to TWS with the Supra meet. There were at least 8 vettes there and most of them were instructors.

I never see any events at TWS for corvettes.

Some people say it is lack of...

Re: TeamTech harness install (ghoffman)

Brey Kraus has a very good setup that installs easy and gives you access to the stock belts. It has 2 clip holes on each side. 1 for the anit sub which lays on the seat and you sit on it and 1 for...

Re: Any news on LGM's Spindle ducts? (John Shiels)

The whole thing is a flat round plate and on one edge an oval duct is welded to the shield. I'll see if I can get a picture.

The duct is a single piece. It was too tight to get the tubing around.

Re: Any news on LGM's Spindle ducts? (LG Motorsports)

There is one other minor issue. I thought the inlet hole was supposed to be 3" OD. But my 3" SCAT tubing would not fit over it at all. I had to snip the edges and bend the end to get the tubing...

{DFW} MSR - why no corvette clubs?

Porsche, BMW, Viper all have events at MSR. There are never any corvette events and these guys always fill up their run groups.

Anyone know any other local groups that go to MSR? :(

Re: Gearing change with smaller height tires... (SWCDuke)

The smaller diamater tire will give you faster acceleration and change your gear ratio. however z06s can do that to.

Re: BRAKE BIAS SPRING (Bill Dearborn)

Thanks Bill, so it can make it not work but it won't make it kick in because that is controlled by the speed sensor / computer.

So to infer from wha you said Bill. The Bias spring gives you more...

Re: BRAKE BIAS SPRING (John Shiels)

John, are you saying the bias spring wasn't making my ABS kick in?

I took it out and my ABS problem is gone. I don't have any codes and never have.

Lou is the one that told me to take it out....

Re: ABS (CPT Z06)

To answer CPT Z06 question. The reason I took out the spring vs. changing back to stock pads is three fold.

Taking out the spring took me 3 minutes and changing the pads would take longer

I...

Re: CCW wheel spacers for Wilwood SL6R & different wheels (John Shiels)

That's a spacer. I only need about a 1/8" spacer under my front CCWs to clear.

Re: BRAKE BIAS SPRING (Kenny94945)

Shoot I didn't even have to bleed. I just put my stock one back in because my rear was locking up and ABS was kicking in too much.

Re: John Sheils - LG Spindle Ducts - Speed Sensor (John Shiels)

You have any extra? If not, where did you find it?

Thanks

Re: ABS (CPT Z06)

Well neither. it is a combination of too much rear pad and the DRM bias spring. Pulled the DRM spring and it is behaving much better. No ABS on a 75 to 10MPH hard stop.

Re: John Sheils - LG Spindle Ducts - Speed Sensor (John Shiels)

I don't have DRM ducts. I made some custom ducts because I am using 17x11 CCWs up front.

I bought like 10x5 front scoops, trimmed them a bit, removed the stock ducts, pop riveted Home Depot...

Ok, I had a topic on this a few weeks ago. Since then I raise my rear end 1/2" because my "rake" was dead flat and some suggested maybe the front wsn't loading quickly enough.
Anyway, this is still...

I'm considering getting them re-painted if I can keep from that being a continued...
