My fenders were never trimmed. I suppose there are some that DO need trimming--but I think it all depends on WHO installed the body to the frame at the factory, and to what degree. As you can see...

All are double contacts in bottom of sockets. I wonder why the previous owner changed them. It would have been done back in 1981, I suppose, when he switched to the AFTERMARKET lenses.

I replaced the bulbs with the same 1157's. I bought em from NAPA. They're two-prong (or two contacts on bottom). Hmmm...I didn't think to check the socket for how many contacts.:willy:
