As one of the taxpayers who bailed out GM I don't mind them making a profit. The car is still a great value compared to the competition and no one is making you pick red calipers.

To me having some black in there is nice to break up the other color. To totally red interior is not attractive to me. I suspect the reason has more to do with economics than purely design taste...
