A couple of engine guys told me not to bother opening-up the ring gap, because the LS3s don't have issues like the earlier LS motors, so I didn't.
I wonder if that would've helped at all in this...

It sounds like the BOV is venting very slowly in that video you posted, which makes me think it's not getting a good vacuum source...
