Re: Uh Oh ! Problems with VBP Rotors (z060ntrack)

The VBP rotors are not just stock rotors with slotts milled in them. If you have an issue with one of their products, I would call the techs at VBP and figure out why your having problems. Do you...

Re: CCW wheels put on today = Rubbing!!! (tscales)

I've always heard that any tire bigger than a 315 you'll have to tubb the rear. Their are companies that make a bolt in inner fender well to incorporate the bigger tire. It also depends which offset...

Re: I got my VBP Front Fiberglass "Sport" Monospring today!!!!!!! (IBEAM700)

VBP is good at adjusting the rates to your needs. They actually manufacture the springs and if you tell them what kind of ride your looking for they'll send you the right one. The ride-height is also...

Re: Lowering a 95? (gtsyellow)

To do the front you'll have to remove the spring and change the pads from the top that contacts the frame. I call them poly lowering wedges that you have to glue in the place of the old ones. :)

Re: Hawk Pro pads any suggestions? (c4texasvette)

You must deglaze the rotor (take the mirror finnish off) before installing the pads. I always use an air sanding disc but some 80grit sandpaper used in a circular motion will work as long as you make...

Re: Hawk Pro pads any suggestions? (c4cruiser)

Which compound were they? (HPS, HP-Plus, Blue, Etc.) No matter which compound you use you will still have to follow the burnishing procedure in the pad box. :yesnod:

Re: best sway-bars? (99 Corvette)

Quote: { Why would the T1 front and the Z06 rear be better than T1s front and rear } The car won't oversteer and it will transition weight better in the rear in and out of the corners. You can always...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!! I am about to give up on these brakes (phoenix)

Ecklers has new Delco for $199 and VBP has new Wagner units for $79. Not sure about Mid-America but I would do my homework on Manufacturers of the parts.

Re: Can someone explain Camber and Toe in/out I need help (silvervetteman)

I wouldn't mess with it until you get all the weight on the frame. You'll have to do it twice. I would just wait and take it to the alignment shop when it's done. :yesnod:

Re: Anything have to be done to NEW rotors? (JIM)

You don't need to turn new rotors, what a wives-tale! Take the oil off the rotors and index the rotor. Make sure you clean the hub surface behind the rotor so there isn't any rust or debris which...

Re: What's the difference between front and rear rotors? (joeveto)

The offset is also different they won't interchange. if you have the wrong rotor on the front or rear the rotor will hit the caliper. :yesnod:

Re: Advice needed on brake overhaul (lyonsh)

I think you mean (www.vettebrakes.com) or (http://www.VBandP.com/). Anyway I would check to see if your calipers are stainless steel sleeved already, then buy the overhaul kits. You need to make sure...

Re: HELP! Non-brake fluid in brake system - replace entire system? (92corvette)

When you look into the reservoir what color is the fluid? That will usually tell you which fluid you have. If not I can tell by how it smells, lol. Anyway you can also look at the rubber inside the...

Re: Rotors for lapping (Rick93Z07)

Rick93Z07 has obviously never driven a wheel to wheel racecar to know which parts wear out quicker. The brake wear intervals are determined by brake components and mostly by driving style. :nono: ...

Re: Rotors for lapping (z060ntrack)

Just for comparison, say your a little harder on your brakes than Heinricy and your only getting three times the life of a rotor. $65 x 3 = $195 / $195 x 4 = $780. To me the VB rotors are still a...

Re: Rotors for lapping (gstama)

VBP is coming out with a 14" rotor kit for use with the stock calipers sometime this summer. You will probably have to use 18" rims such as the Z-06 rims. Which rotors are you looking for? Are you...

Re: info on brake upgrades (y2khardtop)

VBP is coming out with a 14" rotor kit for use with the stock calipers. I'm sure a kit like that will take a lot of guess work out of the equation because you don't need Huge calipers to road-race...

Re: heh I got ZR-1 brakes :) (Mr Mojo)

The C-5 upgrade is the best upgrade for the price and the availability of parts. The 88-96' 13" brakes were the same ZR-1 or not. The GS are the same exact also they just say corvette on them and all...

Re: Quick Shock Question... (btsoom)

I don't recommend coil-overs at all. Why go backwards in technology when the composite springs are the newest in technology. The coil spring was invented in what early 1900's. You can get the car to...
