Center Cluster question

I took my '81 out for a ride tonight and the entire center cluster would not light up. I know its not the bulbs because I just replace all of them, and the light that shines down on the A/C controls...

I am not saying I feel like I am going faster...It just feels like it has more power..or todays cars are just over rated on their HP. I've had cars with 500+hp and they didn't feel 2 1/2 time more...

I think I just figured out where the 20k in "extras" is coming from....If rust was selling on the open market for @$1000 per pound that 20 pounds of rust would account for the 20k in extras

I got my car painted and it was completed @Jan 1. Should I even bother waxing the car or just leave it alone? Is it better to put a coat of wax or paint sealant on or just leave it alone.
