As the post above yours says, this is a common issue. The lights get hot with the DRL's on for hours.
The housing will melt and water will drip down and the hot bulb will break.

Any GM techs...Question about a 2016 Malibu

An employee of mine has a 2016 Malibu 1.5 liter turbo.

He doesn't like that it shuts down at a stop light.
Can this be rectified some how?

It's a normal condition...The car shuts off, instead of an idle, at a stop light after it is up to temp.
Gas mileage thing I guess.
He wants a go around.
