Thanks for the responses. The zip ties I used should be fine, I've used them before in other places in the engine compartment and haven't had any problems

I've checked all the auto parts shops and nobody carries wire seperators that will mount in the place as the stock ones. I found them at ecklers but there 4.99 each :eek:

I recently changed my plug wires and broke most of the wire seperaters or what every there called is there a problem with using zip ties or could this cause problems?

I ran .271 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile with a flowmaster cat back and a gutted cat. I have no problem with noise. I think when you install the mufflers make sure the tips extend from under the car...

Thats what I'm thinking that the timing is to high, I'll have to wait until I get up to the auto parts store to get another timing light the one that I only used once a year ago is no good

The Dunlops are already on the car I went with these because they last for almost 30000 miles on the 86 and I was able to pull low 1.8 60' times. I'm going to the Thursday unless something comes up....

It was my first time in the 87 I made about 6 or 7 trips to the track in the 86 . The 87 is an auto Z52 with 3.07 rear end. I think I can get the into the 14.0-13.9 range with an oil change to mobil...

I don't know what the track temps where but my oil and coolant temps were both over 200. My 86 ran 13.5s @ around 100 but it had a flowmaster cat-back and a gutted main cat. plus the stock 2000 stall...

I just got the car on Wednesday the cars . The cars stock other then TB bypass and K&N with open air lid. I had a full tank of gas and the spare still in the back and a set of bald Goodyears it also...

What's the difference between the 87 heads and the 113 heads ? Can the 87 heads handle a cam change without changing the springs and rockers or porting of the heads?

I have a late 86 with cast iron heads I'm looking on keeping the same power band I will also be changing the cam and porting the heads I'm looking at trying to get in the high 12's I'm at 13.5 now...

The drivers side is already pretty bad and it looks like the passenger side is starting . What cause this and what can I do to prevent/fix it. Also is there any that I can use to fix the glass?

With a lower 60' you will drop a couple of tenths off that 1/4 mile . I run a 13.531 @ 100 at Bradenton Motorsports Park the track is good shape just work on the launch my first time out I ran a 14.3...
