The LT-1 will fit under the standard 68-72 hood, so later should be fine. Just need the drop base air cleaner.

My 1970 LT-1 runs 90 octane ethanol free gas with half can of octane supreme and no rattle at stock timing. My 1970 LS5 rattles at stock timing due to mystery cam with same fuel.

Prices seem low on many fronts, and the mileage and condition numbers are more for newer cars and not older ones. It can be used as a starting point, but would not call it the gospel for pricing.
