The only thing I would add is remove the negative...

The only thing I would add is remove the negative batt cable, just in case you turn on the headlights while your holding that switch, it gets hot pretty fast and it's easy to do when your fumbling...

Just an FYI on Hobart, they were bought by Miller. I just got a Hobart 140 and the whip and gun say Miller right on them. I'm very happy with the welder.

That looks a lot like Vette Brakes Performance Plus system changing to a tranverse mounted mono spring in the front. Several members here have done this upgrade, hopefully someone that's done it...

I think that brake light will come on if your brake fluid is low also, not just an e-brake warning light, I think, I could be wrong but I'd check the fluid level too.

I have an 81 so Lars couldn't help me. I went with one from national carbs and have been very happy with it. Bolted on, choke works like it should, car idles and runs great.
