I had a nail in that exact location, and had to replace the tire on my C8. I’ve had nails in the tread area and had them plugged with good success on my C7.

I ran a power cord for my radar detector from the driver footwell to the passenger footwell. Very easy. Taped the end to a straightened coat hanger. Made it first time.
