I have done the same thing for many years. Since moving to FL I'll put a floor fan in front of the car between the bumpers and run that for an hour or two to blow the fumes out! That may be overkill...

The part of the decklid protected by the convertible top is still close to the original blue, the rest-not so blue anymore.
