my 62 appears to have been from misssouri and it has some pinstriping that was apparantly added in 1979...along with new redish maroon paint. Car was apparantly a drag racer. It has an olds rear end...

I will look at the case again to determine if it is two or three rib, I appreciate the help. it is below zero here in Butte so it takes the shop awhile to heat up...and I am busy right now with my 67...

i will try to get a picture on here today. and the ratio appears to be 2.6 or 2.7. no fill or drain in the housing but a fill plug in the pupkin on the pass side.

1962 rear end help?

Just picked up a 1962 that appears to have been used for drag racing. (Rear flares). the rear end has been changed and I can not id the dang thing. It looks old with a posi unit, 5x5 bolt pattern....

well, the last race was good, the 540 ran 6.80 still at 110mph at 7000' air and a 1.58 60' on nitto drag radials. Unfortunately, the overdrive behind my turbo 400 took a hike..it was the older...
