My 77's pass. door did this recently, I lowered the window all the way and used a Llonngggg flat head screwdriver and pressed down on the latch mechanism. Can't explain what/where to press but that...

Home Depot insulation blanket, has an aluminized side which looks good, been on my 77 for over 2 years, used the same insulation for the interior and I'm very pleased.

Yup, drove mine gutted for 2-3 years, finished drivetrain, suspension, brakes etc...by far interior was the hardest, almost said "#!@%&*! and donate to charity but a friend calmed me down and...

My 77 has a "scraping" noise also, Van-Steel rebuilt the trailing arms, replaced all u-joints, flushed differential and used posi additive....I just turn up the radio now... :cool:

I've had them on my 77 for over 4 years now. Installation was simple and I LOVE the sound. Last year re-carpeted and over insulated the cabin, big difference.... :D

I replaced the oil pan on my 77 with little difficulty...no engine jacking or other extream hijinks were necessary, I believe the steering ram had to be loosened though. Wish ya success.... :seeya

Did the interior on my 77 with Home Depot stuff & 3-M spray adhesive, made a very noticable difference in cabin comfort and noise reduction, of course chambered exhaust is still audible.... :yesnod:

Perfect anti - messy valve lash adj.... procure a doner valve cover and cut the center portion of the top off, install, start car, adj. lash, re-install CORVETTE valve covers. Job done, no oily mess....

Wow...I used a 6' x 3' roll of foil backed stuff from HomeDepot for under $20.00, made a VERY noticable difference in noise/comfort in my non A/C 77...just my .02 :seeya

Just re-did my 77 and got the plugs from Dr.Rebuild, insulation from HomeDepot and carpet from "?"...made a BIG difference in cab comfort....
