Re: Help- erratic PKE behavior..?! (satyr7777)

It's not uncommon for the transmitters to go bad (key fob). You can code a buddy's keyfob to your car as a test. If you know a fob works on one car, and it does not on yours, then, you know it's...

That's very . The whole picture scores major league "guy points".

When can I get my 1st car in for an oil change and what do you charge? :steering:

Re: Should I convert to SINGLE MASS Flywheel???? (StealDads67)

Cost comes into play here as well. If the dual mass flywheel is shot, plan on spending on up to two times the cost of a single mass flywheel.

If there's nothing wrong with the current dual mass...

Re: "When in a spin, both feet in" What does this mean? (kuruvette)

What does it mean prior to applying the principle? Well, hopefully the car in front of you didn't cause you to run off nor does your car have any mechanical failures, and most certainly, there...

Re: Rear strud rod prices for C4? 1993 type (steve40th)

I bought the Vette Brakes and Products strut rods. Easily adjustable even after many thousand miles and multiple alignments. The base units are $120 for the set. :steering:

Re: Basic C4 IRS/tranny/suspension Q's (dnovotny)

No, there are no other cross members from the rear of the trans to the diff. The main point of that driveline support beam is to support the motor/trans. There are two "wings" on the upper...

Re: how to do a 10" sub install and keep it all hidden (gtsyellow)

I did the above version myself. Once you get into the 8 or 10" size of woofers and start running calculations on optimum enclosure size, you'll find that the size of those little storage areas is...

Re: 92 LONG TUBE INSTALL (DRAGRCR1005)

I have the Hooker Super Comps on my '93 LT1 and had the air tubes cut off and welded shut. If you still want to use catalytic converters you're going to have to get something custom done to...

Re: Dream projects...what to do with some spare engines? (MoMo)

My recommendation is to go with #4. These cars are sooo rare on the streets these days but can be built for daily driver useage. Don't just build it up, BUILD IT UP. I haven't had mine on the...

Re: dual mass flywheel to single mass conversion?? (tbwstingray)

The "special" clutch pivot ball is indicative, that there will be clearance issues with the supplied flywheel, and that the construction of the pivot ball most undoubtedly covers this by moving the...

Re: dual mass flywheel to single mass conversion?? (tbwstingray)

Couple points of interest for the single mass conversion:

Centerforce has a great lineup of flywheels for your application. These can be had from Summit or other for minimal for ~$240.00

Some...

Re: Best clutch for 4+3 w/406 motor? (ld85)

Check out the Spec lineup as well. Their Stage III unit is what you're looking for with the carbon-kevlar pucks. People tend to bash them for prior quality control issues from way back, but their...

Re: LT-4 Intake Manifold (C4kid94)

I am/was under the impression that the castings are the same. However, let's see where this thread goes. The main obvious difference between the LT1/4 manifolds is obviously the fuel crossover tube...

Re: What is the big deal about e.o. numbers? (Raysur)

It ain't no stinkin loop hole when the guys in the emissions van pull you over and inspect your papers. If your e.o. numbers don't match, look out!

Re: Code 26 what's involved? (Raysur)

Code 26 refers to quad driver module #1. There's a variety of EGR and other emissions stuff that it controls. I'd reset it, and see if it reappears. It's kinda rare that a relay goes bad, but it...
