In any case, if the u-joint is out then can't you get a set of vice grips on them? You are going to need new bolts anyway.

I would let them sit overnight...

Mine were in for about 12 years. Was a bugger to get the pipes off, but the inserts came right out with a short drop onto a sheet of plywood.

Personally I'd go with the solid mounts without hesitation for a stout motor.

If you are running side pipes you probably are not terribly concerned with having a smooth/quiet ride.

I have to agree. I think the standard 5 spokes look better. The NAV system also sucks (as does my wife's Chrysler). But, I love the car anyway.
