Great write up! I've done this twice. first to a new style, no changer, and second to an old style with changer. Same wires as noted worked. I use white out to mark where the hole goes for the jack....

I bought a 2002 last weekend about 3 hours away. Stopped for gas 2 1/2 hours away and the inevitable " pull key, waits 10 secs" and "service column lock" messages. I eventually got her going again...

Being one of the people that can't or won't...

Being one of the people that can't or won't afford a C7 right away, I still wouldn't want to buy a choked back version. I would rather buy a full power used vette, (a C6) which is what I did! :rock:

I like it. Probably be 5-10 years before I'll get one. The plan is to pay off the 08 early and trade the 99 on a C6Z. That would get me by for a few years.
