When mine was jumping it was a stripped gear in the speedometer that drives the odometer. I replaced the gear, cleaned and lubed the speedometer. Works fine ever since.

I take my car on long trips like the Hot Rod Power Tour so I have to be prepared.

The orange wire gets power from the tail light...

The orange wire gets power from the tail light fuse. It should have power all the time even with the headlights off and key off. That might be blown fuse or have a bad connection on the fuse....

Try grounding the white wire on the light switch. If it still doesn't work the white wire isn't connected to any of the lights....

Hazard and turn signals use the same wiring so that shouldn't be the problem. My best guess would be the switch in the column....

I did it on my 77. The fuel line needed to be cut...

I did it on my 77. The fuel line needed to be cut and spliced in front of the back tire. The brake lines went on pretty easy.
