The seals are technically not compatible but people do it all the time. I think the bigger factor is the increased efficiency of the newer units.

Yes, that's what I want to do. I did not think about compatibility issues. The Camaro system is R12 so no issues with that one. I hate the look of the compressor outboard of the head.

I use HP tuners and Jesse uses EFIlive. For whatever reason EFIlive won't let you change the pulse per mile number down to 8000.

If you find someone with HP tuners he can change it for you.
