I went with a TPIS miniram because no one new for sure that the SR would fit under a stock hood. I read a few months later that it would fit under the later C3 hoods, but I don't remember what years...

Mine ended up being pricey once I got all the addons. If I had to do it again I probably would have gone with the Holley StealthRam instead of the TPIS miniram. The TPIS works good, but it's too low.

I ran -6 braided line for the fuel feed, and then used the stock 3/8" feed line for the return. I put a new pickup in the tank too. There have been lots of threads on this subject before.

Check with the kit manufacturer, most aftermarket rods will clear a normal cam in a 406. You must have read the same article I did about a 406 needing a SBC cam. :cheers:

I've pulled the motor only. You need to remove the hood. Also most engine hoists aren't long enough to reach from the front of the car so you will need to put it in from the side.:cheers:
