Valve Guides Leak

Has anyone ever tried JB Weld or other products to seal valve guides on 427 heads? Machine shop has tried three time to fix but the new exhaust guides leak water into the exhaust chamber.

Thanks, I will compare the RPM to MPH calculation on both the 3:55, 3:70 and 4:11. I run about 3000 RPM now at 55 MPH. Rear tires are 27.3 inches tall (BF Goodrich T/A's).

Not sure if I need to install original valve size. I use TRW 2300 pistons with cutouts for valve clearance. I will clay them in this winter to see how much valve to piston clearance I actually have....

Smaller Valves

Is it possible to down size 2.25 intake valves back to 2.15? They are on a set of 3919840 BB heads, 427, 435 HP. The heads are basiclly stock and have never had hardened valves installed. THOUGHTS!!!

Found the problem!!

With the exhaust manifold off and the intake on, coolant was dripping from the outside of the valve guide! Easy to see! It apprears that from all the things I can find that only the exhaust goes...

I am planning on taking off both intake and exhaust manifold then pressure test the coolant system to see what is happening. Early investigation it does not apear to be leaking into the cylindes but...
