Re: I know it's posted somewhere, but .. (subman)

There are many drilled/slotted rotors that will fit stock calipers. However, for a daily driver (unless you race/autocross) these are probably not needed. If your normal rotors are within specs,...

Re: Typical luck... (Ramanstud)

Typically, smaller businesses rely on a different schedule than corporations:

Re: (2nd2SEX)

I had the exact same problem in an automatic ford I was driving on the interstate a few years ago. The car just took off. I had to brake hard and shut the car off to get it to stop. Upon turning...

Re: 2+ Years and counting (90EXPVette)

Actually, the learning curve will be far more aggressive than that. For 2 years I drove a '90 Nissan 240sx that I rebuilt (bought it for $1K, put $2K into it to bring it back up to "mechanically"...

2+ Years and counting

It's been quite a long while. I haven't posted for more than a year or so. More importantly I haven't even driven my '88 for 2.5 years. I started off "fixing" the vette a few years ago -...

Re: Gasket and the thermostat (ittlfly)

If you buy a new thermostat it should come with a gasket; if not, you can purchase one from any auto parts store. I used the RTV/gasket combo to ensure a good seal.

Re: [HELP]: Removign tranny as we speak. (scorp508)

Scorp, I just took mine off. I can't tell you exactly what size wrench to use...but, beware, they easily strip. I had the right wrench but the metal was too soft :mad . I ended up using an...

Re: [Weatherstripping]Fixing a small crack question (Kevin McGrade)

I don't know about repairing them, but definitely put some silicon on all of the weatherstripping...keep them front cracking further.

Some people have posted in the past about using RTV to fix;...

Re: Who needed Ruby interior photos??!! (spowers)

Thrills, I'm assuming that's a hair "scrunchy" on your shifter :D

My girlfriend has a new Acura TL...fun to drive, but I have to remove all of the hair clips, ties, etc. from the rearview mirror,...

Re: Paging L98 punk, 85 underhood photos (L98 punk)

L98, I've read your previous posts (earlier thread). Correct me if I'm wrong, but the problem is the hood supports. My '88 has the smaller piston type supports...I'm wondering if this insulator...

Re: Make your wheel wells look better than new! (NUckINg FuTS)

I took djpearn's advice...I tried the Truck Bed Spray Liner; bought a can at NAPA. Outstanding! It's better than the undercarriage spray I previously put on there (spent 4 hours removing...

Re: Make your wheel wells look better than new! (vallini)

Actually, it looks like there was some sort of covering (paint - not sure) on the plastic. When I was cleaning them, this covering was chiping off (it started out looking very splotchy).

Anyway,...

Re: Make your wheel wells look better than new! (Mr Mojo)

I might consider putting this bed liner all over my car...protect paint from rock chips, road grime, etc. It'll probably look horrible, but I'll know that underneath it's a beauty!

Re: Make your wheel wells look better than new! (djpearn)

Where can you buy the truck bedliner "stuff"? I wonder if Autozone etc. sells it. That might be a good idea...I'm already half-way done with the undercoating paint. I'll post some pictures when I...

Make your wheel wells look better than new!

I had tar stuck to the inside of my wheel wells :mad Decided to clean them. Took all 4 parts off (per side), scraped everything off, and cleaned thoroughly.

The original paint (?) was half gone...

I couldn't find Moog tie rod ends. Do they...

Re: My Excuse for Excess (Red 90 L98 Coupe)

Red 90,
It sounds like you have an aesthetically pleasing engine compartment (especially your suspension)
You put a lot of work into the control arms, etc. Do you have any photo's?

My Excuse for Excess

I am the perfect case. ...
