82 Glass T's coming apart

My passenger side T top has decided to come apart while I was driving down the hiway. The glass has separated from the frame about half way around. This isn't the "moulding " around the glass.

I would check the cable for binding...I believe it takes a pretty sharp bend coming out of the distributer.

I went to the local crap store and bought a cheap long straight blade. This thing is about 18" long. Then I put a "V" notch into the blade....not to deep....just enough to keep it from sliding off....

Someone awhileback listed a step by step to configure the tail lights to LED. Consisted of cutting the lights apart and glueing in the board of LEDs. I did a search but the topics found were empty....

All 82s were automatic.....I'm assuming stock of course. I used an aftermarket C5 shift knob. Drilled and tapped the hole to screw onto the stalk. I'll post a pic soon....

I've been told that the cams in 82s are a little soft. Rounding of a couple of lobes would be normal wear.

On my 82 it was the check valve. Located on drivers side. About the size of a quarter. One inlet two outlets.The cost was about 20. I'm going from memory...but I can go out and check it on my car....
