Dang $4,000 price increase on the 2024s. I knew they were creeping up but I still thought they were under $65k. My 2020 was $62k with a couple options.

$69,995 from $59,995 in 5 years is rough...

Any dealer can do it. It's fairly expensive if you have a lot of miles on the car, and might take awhile if you car has unique options. Comes with a new VIN.

Base C8 is very quick off the line but it has never been a top end car. Tack on heavier tires, wider body and bigger...

Loved my C8 but it's back to the 911 configurator. :lol:

Perhaps a couple more years of inflation and it'll be a bargain...

Base interior on the GT3 touring is pretty plasticky.

Being facetious but IMO base C8 interior is nicer than base GT3, at least on the 991. Neither one is all that amazing though.

Fear of regret or FOMO means you should tick the box.

That said, the base car is the faster car. ;)

Some dealers it's very easy to do, some will not take kindly.

Of course you could take delivery and then re-sell. But then you'd likely be out the sales tax, etc.

Z07 might be a relatively inexpensive line item but the other stuff to unlock it (that you may or may not want) will certainly add to the cost.

They have been doing this for a long time now.

IMO 194 is pretty impressive for only 495 horsepower, particularly given how big and heavy today's cars are. I'd imagine it's equivalent to a Ferrari F40 in terms of power and speed.
