Uh you really need to do everything at once.
to do a cam swap, the intake has to come back off.
PITA with replacing injector o rings and scraping gasket material off heads, then disconnecting fuel...

86 is not a good candidate for a 383 today.
it has a flat tappet cam.
use oil additives to keep cam from going flat.
do your due diligence, find a magnetic mount, use dial indicator, and check...
