Rear spring installation

I remember reading somewhere that when you are installing a rear spring on a C2 corvette mine being a 63. That you only snug the bolts on the plate to the diff. When all done and the car is sitting...

I'm installing an electronic ignition. in my 63. Has two leads, do I need to connect to my ballast resistor or can I just connect it to the coil???...

I'm having my drive shaft and half shafts sand blasted. Should I paint them What color, or leave them natural and give them a clear coat. It's a 1963 What about the spring??
