I had the same concerns as you when I was changing my manifold - the solution was pretty simple. Any machine shop can install a tube for you.

The location of the cigarette lighter on a C2 makes it unsafe to use as a charging port for cell phone, iPods, etc. Has anyone installed an auxiliary port. If yes, how and where did you mount it....

Replace the fitting and see if it does the trick. Zerk fittings are cheap and very simple to replace. It will unscrew right off with a socket. Clean the area first before removing. Good luck!
