No modifications. Remove the 2 old heater hoses. Install the bypass hose with 2 clamps. Consider if you want to wrap part of the new hose with thermal wrap, as its 1/4 " away from the valve cover....

I have an 80, with a 200 4R and 3:31 rear gears- replacing the 3:08's. It runs good on the street; a lot more acceleration off the line; and about 2000 RPM at 70 MPH. I would not go any "higher"...

You may want to pay for a "sample" test, before your data gets sent to Sacramento DMV
