You may want to rethink the new old stock gasket. I found it to be very hard rubber and slightly thicker than the original or the reproductions. It became a real problem putting the trim on.

If you’re working on a 63 to 67 the rear tail lights only have a gasket between the body and the light fixture. It does not go up near the finished paint. And they bolt right through the fiberglass....
