Before you wander back to the C4 section.......sounds like the overrun clutch in your 700R4 has taken a dive. That would require a teardown, sorry.

The trans will go through a "learn" procedure and adjust the "adapts" as you drive. The more miles you put on it, the "smarter" it gets and the better it will shift under your specfic driving...
