I installed my headers (same as yours) with plugs instead of the rear O2s. I had a CEL pop up, but it did not affect drivability at all. I eventually got it tuned, which took care of the CEL.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

I'll definitely be looking into them. Being 70 miles away might be a bit of a hurdle, though, when it comes to dropping the car off and picking it up.

Hey guys,
Does anyone know of good, reputable body shops in/around Bethlehem or the Lehigh Valley area in PA that can do high quality work on a C6? I accidentally misjudged the distance between the...

This. I run one now in my 08 after the Delco one crapped out.

It's a 10 minute job at most. Simple. Just remember to check the stock battery orientation; on my 08, it's "upside down" when...

Thanks. I did see something where the "wings" are a different size between the 2 models, but I'm not sure what that's referring to... the divider plates that help isolate the filter? I wonder if...

Thanks for the quick response. So I can just order the one for the Z, and it will bolt right up to my LS3?

I found the one for the Z at a better price, which is why I'm making sure :) Thanks...

What's the difference between Airiad for LS3 and LS7?

I know there are 2 different part numbers, but I'm wondering what the physical difference is. I see other systems, like the Halltech, that attach to both engines, so I'm wondering if the Airaid for...

My ramps only get the car 7" off the ground or so, which gives about a foot of ground clearance. It was enough, but not roomy. I'm in decent shape, so I don't have to worry about gut clearance, but...

~5400 miles on my 08, and it does the noise at low speed turns. Sounds like a tire rubbing the fender. My car was built late May 08, picked up at the NCM on 6/13/08. I have not swapped fluids yet,...

Just an update:
I've got a few miles on the headers now. I'm pretty sure I've got an exhaust leak somewhere, but I haven't found it. The car also starts pretty rough when cold. Whether this is...

I just did headers/X pipe. The front of the car was on Rhino Ramps, the rear was jacked even on jack stands. It was nowhere near 20".

I'm not saying it was roomy, but it was, obviously, doable.

Instead of wrapping the headers, why don't you try wrapping the parts you're worried about? You mention cables; should be able to wrap those.

I still think that dimming at night is backwards. I find it annoying, personally. It's one thing to dim when there are headlights pointed at it; that makes sense. It's another thing altogether to...

I got 28 or so on my trip home from the NCM when I picked it up (about 800 miles of highway driving at one shot).

Around town, forget about it; I get about 200 miles per tank ;)

Stupid auto dimming mirror question

Quick question on the auto dimming feature:

How is this supposed to work? In my mind, the mirror should dim down a bit in the day to keep the glare off of things, and be "not dimmed" at night,...

Exactly.

As I asked above, why not just go with NPPs? You really don't get much of a performance gain with just aftermarket mufflers vs. NPPs, and with the NPPs, you have the option of opening...
