Just wanted to say thanks, Patches! I came back from 2 months out of country and my blower motor was dead - pulled it out and noticed some water backing up; did a search on here and sure enough I...

Re: NEED A BLOWN 96 VETTE COMPUTER PROGRAMMER (blown96vette)

Be carefull - if you don 't have a maf massager or something to clamp the frequency output of the MAF then when you hit just over 400 g/sec you will experience an OBDII bug which will cause your...

Re: What do I need To tune My LT4?? (FoolCrzy)

you will need OBD2 LT1 Edit (you can do a OBD-I swap, but I would stick with your stock computer)
http://www.carputing.com

You will need an OBD2 Scan package.

I have had nothing but problems...

Re: Looking for any others that have installed ATI Prochargers (vetterdstr)

The timing I am referring to is only under boost - when you are not seeing boost timing will be much higher/closer to stock.

Surging when you let off sounds like a blow-off valve problem - is...

Re: Looking for any others that have installed ATI Prochargers (vetterdstr)

I would submit that 24, even 20 degrees of timing is too much. I just finished tuning 3 ATI kits on stock C5's and ended up with 18 degrees as what I felt was a safe value.

I started out with...

Re: Injector Offset Question (fast-Z06)

I always use a different offset for the SVO injectors and had good results doing this.

I am thinking they are both disc type injectors (do not remember off the top of my head) - but how do you...

Re: ? Using LS1Edit to Lean Mixture (TooManyIDs)

At WOT you will use the PE vs RPM table (Power Enrichment / RPM) to do any WOT fueling changes.

As for a how to document, the guides that come with it are a must read - and I would suggest...

Re: Had to drill TB to limp home afegin tuning or fill in? (66ImpalaLT1)

If you have ver 1.1 of LS1 Edit you can experiment with the new iac tables - they may allow you to idle properly without a hole in the TB.

But since you already have the hole I honestly wouldn't...

Re: Has anyone used EFI live (newberd)

We have been using EFILive now for awhile instead of autotap - it's a MUCH superior package - none of the constant crashes, failure to communicate errors, etc.

With the new AT-2 cable update...

Re: Injector offset question: ChrisB or others... (Leerph)

Your numbers will change slightly as a result of how the PCM stores the table - it will store them in incriments of a certain base number - so if you base number was 0.125 all the values in the table...

Re: A/F ratio readings (Red 90 L98 Coupe)

Your reading was skewed because of the CAT, but at 10.8 I doubt it was skewed enough to render his conclusion incorrect - even through a cat 10.8:1 is more than likely rich.

You should be able to...

Re: LS1_Edit Tuning Strategy (WhitneyR)

No problem! Just to make sure everyone knows these values are good as a starting value, but are probably in actuality a little on the low side. I wouldn't be afraid to tweak them if the need...

Re: Need help with tuning using LS1-Edit (ToplessTexan)

The injector flow values are pretty straightforward - it is just my opinion - but I set those and forget them.

The injector offset is definitely not as straightforward, and there are quite a few...

Re: WTB- LT1 edit w/ a dated laptop.... (Bob Mosaic)

Make sure you get one with a battery that has some charge - since a new battery goes for 70-100 bucks at the price point of older laptops (100-200 bucks) it can make or break the deal. Right now I...

Re: Help!!!.... I'm in PCM Hell!!! (DOCTOR J)

Sounds like there is a fundamental problem in the injector scaling, or one of your o2's is dead. 2 quick things - send me a copy of your OBDI program and I will check the basics - send it to...

Re: Need help with tuning using LS1-Edit (Jim Shearer)

The LTFT's being so low with correct injector information is definitely a bit strange - and normally with an O2 problem they would be going the other way.

My advice would be to tentatively try...

Re: LS1_Edit Tuning Strategy (Jim Shearer)

Doh, yep! Not a mistake in calculations per se, but an artifact of the curve fitting - since we don't have factory ford data points past 16v the graph goes off on it's own. You can...

Re: FLP Headers, LS1 Edit... (bandit_99)

Yep, I concur - the lid/intake/etc. can have a profound impact on MAF sensor reading - and to make the most of your tuning I would have the intake path squared away beforehand.

Re: How to tune for removed MAF screen and MAF ends using LS1-Edit? (Vettepartz)

Assuming that the injector information is entered correctly in the PCM and that your O2's are in good working order then I would reccomend it! Just realize this will effect WOT fueling also, and you...

Your initial premise was/is correct - that is going leaner.

Re: LS1_Edit Tuning Strategy (Jim Shearer)

I am assuming you don't have a vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator with the ATI kit? (as that would effect this value directly).

As for the values - are you using my spreadsheet?...

Re: Does WOT PE really look at LTFT? (66ImpalaLT1)

[/b]

Yep! Additionally, with LS1 Edit, you don't really have to worry about the effects anything has on timing as you have full control of the timing values independent of the airflow, etc.

Re: Don't Believe the Myths! Hand Ported vs CNC heads (Rhino21149)

Just to throw in my $0.02

I don't know how "apt" of a comparison CNC vs. hand porting is.

A horrible hand port job is going to be very poor compared to a teriffic CNC program.

An awesome...
