My brakes function perfectly with 11" of vacuum, never a hint of a problem....the headlights go up and down as well just as if the stock engine was still in there.

I'm interested to see what cam and head/piston combo you've chosen.....a cam with less than 224 degrees will be pumping up the dynamic compression ratio for sure :lurk:

I also put mine in many years ago, and it has worked flawlessly for me....totally transformed the car into a blast to drive compared to the 4 speed. I spent a lot of time driving on the highways...

Your 7.1" rod witness marks look pretty good to me.
So your method you describe in post #1 is correct....you should have good clearance there with 1.5 rockers and marginally good as well with 1.6...
